Science Week!

Room 3 had a special visitor last Tuesday afternoon! Mr Mad Scientist came in and took us for some very exciting science experiments. We had such a great afternoon, and learnt a lot of new science words.

Water experiments!

We learnt that there is a thin skin on the top of water, and if we are very careful we can float a paper clip! 

On Tuesday Mr Mad Sinst was in Room 3. Frist he put a tishoow on the top of the wotuer with a paipuclip. Next he poosht the tishoow down then that paipuclip flootid akros the woetra because the wotuer has a little skin on it.

(On Tuesday Mr Mad Scientist was in Room 3. First he put a tissue on the top of the water with a paper clip. Next he pushed the tissue down then the paper clip floated across the water because the water has a little skin on it).

On Tuesday in Room 3 Mr Ma Scientist show as sam staf. He pot som wto in the bact and pot sam pepr on the wotr. I pot sop on my fengr then pot it in. The pepr zomd to the sids.

(On Tuesday in Room 3 Mr Mad Scientist showed us some science stuff. He put some water in the bucket and put some pepper on the water. I put soap on my finger then put it in. The pepper zoomed to the sides).

Reactions!

 Then we watched some exciting reaction experiments! We learnt that when vinegar and baking soda are put in a flask with a cork in the top, they have a little fight which is called a reaction. This reaction made lots of bubbles and a gas. The cork went ‘boom’ and the pressure blew it into the sky! 

Yesday outsid on the kokret Mr Mad Scientist pot sum baken sodur in the glus and then he pot in on the grud. Sum bubos soutit to kum and the lid kam of. it went POP! the lid went up into the sgig. I am shor he lol it and I did to.

(Yesterday outside on the concrete Mr Mad Scientist put some baking soda in the glass and then he put it on the ground. Some bubbles started to come and the lid came off. It went POP. The lid went up into the sky. I am sure he loved it and I did too).
