Lucy the Takahe

Today, Scarlett brought a Takahe toy to share with us! We were lucky enough to see some of these native birds up close when we went on our trip to Maungatautari. We think that the Takahe are wonderful birds, that have dull, dark blue and greeny feathers and a big pointy beak. The feathers look soft and fluffy and look like they would keep the Takahe warm during winter. They also have long skinny legs which make them look like they are creeping around the forest.

    Hi Scarlett i like you'r wonderful Takahe i like the web feet because red is they have black toes . i like it so i wish i had own of thous Scarlett because takahe is my favorite animal in the world i like.
